Horses have a wonderful way
Horses have a wonderful way of offering whatever you need to rise up above your problems. I was happy to read the article about Nancy Stephens and the horses that have given her the strength to fight for her life.
When my 17 year-old son was killed by a drunk driver, I found a great deal of comfort in my quarter horse mare. I swear she could sense my broken heart and desperation to survive the overwhelming grief.
The fact that this colt has given Ms. Stephens so much strength and hope is a testimony to the amazing bond that can occur between horses and humans and the power that the relationship can have. The wins are a bonus! Take care, Nancy, and good luck in life and at the track.
