Box Jammed At EPR
Exhibition Park Raceway has announced that it will be conducting a 13-race card Saturday, November 29. The card scheduled for last Saturday had to be postponed, then cancelled due to heavy snow and CPMA issues.
First race post time for the Saturday card will be 1:00 p.m.
One hundred entries were dropped in the box yesterday, therefore allowing the track to stage a 13-dash program.
A treat for fans this week will the amount of new faces that will see action on Saturday, either for the first time or since horsemen returned from Maine.
Feature on Saturday will mark the debut of Henschke A for new owners Bob MacNeil and John Lavric. The son of Chandon had raced the free-for-alls most of this summer after being acquired by David MacDonald. The 10-year-old gelding will have to overcome Post 6 this week in the seven-horse contest.
Another newcomer to EPR will debut from Post 1 for Bo Sowers. Roy Olcott has been campaigning in Maine and will take on the best pacers in the province. Yankee Anthem will make her first start back in NB from Post 2, while Educated drew Post 3 for Mike Downey.
