All Heart Gal Steps Up For Preferred Win
All Heart Gal proved that her win last week in softer company was no fluke as she reeled off a front-end victory at a juicy 12-1 in Friday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.
A top earner at two and three, All Heart Gal slumped thereafter and lost her first 25 races this year. But she captured a Nov. 21 conditioned event on the lead and employed the same strategy Friday for Mike Wilder, scoring in 1:52.3. The pocket-sitting Tremor Hanover rallied in the Lightning Lane, but fell a nose short, with Do Me Honor third.
Luis Porfilio trains the five-year-old daughter of Allamerican Ingot-Nine Of Hearts, who now boasts $450,304 in career earnings. He also co-owns with Angela Porfilio.
Tony Hall drove four winners and Dave Palone three on the 14-race card.
