Yonkers Raceway has announced that it will be completely dark Thanksgiving Night, Thursday, November 27.

Monticello is taking the Thursday holiday off for both live and evening simulcast racing.

However, with several thoroughbred tracks offering early post times, simulcasting begins at 11:00 a.m. (Calder), with Aqueduct's first race scheduled for 11:25 a.m.

Holiday simulcasting ends at 3:30 p.m. with advanced wagering available for the balance of the later races.

Please be advised that after the abbreviated week, Monticello will resume its five-program-per week schedule (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday -- all at 7:40 p.m. -- and Saturday, 6:50 p.m.) through Tuesday night, December 23, the final program of 2008.

The 2009 live harness schedule shall be announced shortly.
