A fire in a transformer in front of the Northfield Village Police Department knocked out power to most of Northfield Park tonight, Wednesday, November 17.

Due to the fire, repairs to the transformer cannot be made in time to complete tonight's card by the state-mandated midnight finish time.

The Police Department is about 1/2 mile South of the track.
