Morgan Nabs Seven At Harrington
It was anything but a case of the Monday blahs at Harrington Raceway for Tony Morgan, as the veteran teamster manufactured a seven-win performance on the 15-race card.
Morgan kicked off his productive day by taking the opener with odds-on favourite Hezuptosumthin (1:54), but he didn’t return to victory lane until Race 6 when he captured the featured $20,000 Open Pace with Charger in 1:52.1.
He came right back to the winner’s circle in Race 7 after Time Stood Still held on for a nose decision in 1:54.3, and he later clicked with Kamwood Warrior N in a time of 1:54.4 in Race 11. He capped off his big day by sweeping the final three races with Mccabe Hall (1:57.3), Sign Of Thunder (1:57.1) and CR Artistic (1:56.1).
Morgan has won at least 200 races and has racked up more than $1 million in purse earnings each year since 1993. The career winner of 14,239 races has lifetime earnings in excess of $109 million.
