Waxman Scores Another Training Triple
Fresh off his three-win performance last week at Hanover Raceway, Ancaster, Ont. trainer Isaac Waxman brought three horses back to the half-mile oval Saturday afternoon and once again won with all three.
Hanover's leading reinsman Trevor Henry drove all three Waxman winners, starting in race one with trotting mare Tymal Yoko, who led from start to finish in a time of 2:01.1 and went off as the 1-5 favourite. The duo's next win was in race 10 with eight-year-old pacer Mach It Paid, who won his 41st lifetime race and second in a row at Hanover in 1:54.3 in the mud. The final Henry-Waxman victory was in race 11 with four-year-old pacing mare Kisses N Kicks winning by 12-1/2 lengths in 1:56.4.
Waxman shares ownership of Tymal Yoko and Kisses N Kicks with Yin Yee Wong of Oakville, Ont. and is the sole owner of Mach It Paid.
The hot four-year-old trotting gelding Rae Conns Dyl Emma also returned to the winner's circle on Saturday after front-stepping his way to his seventh consecutive victory in 1:59.3 in race seven with Bruce Richardson in the sulky. Trainer Rene Allard and breeder George Grant share ownership of the 20-time career winner.
Hanover Raceway will hand out its season-ending driver, trainer and horse awards on its final live race days of the 2012 season, next Saturday afternoon. Once again there will be a special afternoon post time of 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 6.
