Henry Dominates Grand River Card
Driver Trevor Henry padded his leading Grand River Raceway win total with a Friday night five-bagger at the Elora, Ontario oval.
Henry earned back-to-back victories in the second and third races with Ima Nuisance ($2.90) for trainer Rene Laarman and Mischievous Maple ($4.50) for conditioner Kevin Bodz. He also went back-to-back in the eighth and ninth races with Dan Morrissey trainee Our Star ($3.80) and Somewhere Fast ($7) for trainer Noureen Paulin. The resident of Arthur, Ontario notched his final victory of the night in the 11th dash aboard Salute ($5.50) for conditioner Kevin Tremblay. His mounts won by almost 19 lengths combined.
Henry holds a 48-win lead in the track's 2012 drivers standings over Scott Coulter with 113 local scores and trails national leader Billy Davis Jr. by just 15 victories with 361 winning drives on the year.
