When Cam Dan Kadandy won the 10th race at Monticello Raceway on Wednesday, September 26, she sparked one of the biggest mutuel payoffs in Monticello Raceway history.

The four-year-old Cams Magic Trick mare returned $377.00 to all punters that cashed in on a two-dollar Win wager. The $66.00 place price and the $25.40 were impressive, also.

Greg Annaloro drove Cam Dan Kadandy, who started from the eight hole, to a come-from-behind, one-length victory in a time of 2:01.1.

Trainer Tony Cuccio of Montgomery, New York joined Annaloro in the winner’s circle and couldn’t stop laughing about the rare mutuel payoff.

“We’ve been drawing bad post positions recently and going off at long prices but today’s was the longest (price) I’d ever seen a horse go off at,” Cuccio chirped through his hearty laughter. “We shocked’em…. and gave them something they’ll never forget.”

Cam Dan Kadandy is owned by the On Gait Stable of Woodmere, New York.
