Creighton’s Crew Triples At Georgian
Trainer Dan Creighton watched his yearly UTR climb to .413 thanks to a three-win performance during Tuesday evening’s 12-race card at Georgian Downs.
Creighton, who has watched his barn bank just shy of $500,000 this season in comparison to just over $290,000 all of last year, got the ball rolling with Northern Paddy in Race 5. Trevor Henry rallied the rookie son of Kadabra to the narrow victory in 2:03.2 over a track rated ‘sloppy’ with a two-second allowance.
That same trainer/driver duo struck in Race 8 with Toad River, who went coast-to-coast in a time of 1:56.3. That son of Camluck watched his stablemate, Walked Into Heaven, visit victory lane the very next race, thus giving both Henry and Creighton triples on the card.
Creighton, who resides in Strathroy, ON, has sent out 71 winners so far this year and 761 to date. His barn has managed to rack up close to $7.5 million over the course of his career.
