Potvin guided Onyx V A to his third straight victory after recovering from an early miscue. The fan favourite rallied from off the pace to post a two-length win over Faucon Stena (Gilled Dion) in 1:58. Ultra Jummy (Jacques Hebert) came on for third.

The son of Electric Stena improved his record to 5-2-2 in ten starts and increased his earnings to $66,151 for trainer and co-owner Andre Larocque and owner Violine Plante of Lourdes-De-Joliette, Que.

With regular pilot Gilles Dion in tow, Flanagan Beauty romped to a four and a half length score in the lone $40,000 Elite division for two-year-old pacing fillies.

Kakafala (Simon Allard) was the early leader taking the field to the first quarter station in :28, but favourite Culotte (Sylvain Filion) was on the move right away, clearing the front before the half in :57.2. Meanwhile, Flanagan Beauty tipped out from fourth and charged to command by three-quarters in 1:27.4. The 2-1 second choice pulled away from the pack going into the stretch to post a solid 1:57.4 score.

Culotte stayed for second and Kakafala was third.

The Electric Stena miss, who scored her eighth win in 10 outings and lifted her bankroll to $72,900, is conditioned by Pierre Touchette for Michel Flanagan of Repentigny, Que.

With owner Norm Dessureault in the bike, M C Felix extended his win streak to three in the $35,000 division for two-year-old trotting colts (2:01.1).
