The Big M Offers Breeders Crown Challenge

It all comes down to the Breeders Crown for handicappers, too.

Racing fans can battle to the finish for cash and IPODS in the Meadowlands Racetrack’s Breeders Crown “Across the Board Challenge,” an online handicapping competition beginning Friday, November 21 and powered by 123Racing.

Enrollment for the two-week contest opens Friday, November 14.

The Across the Board Challenge is a free online handicapping contest. Participants are required to sign up via an email address, logon to The Challenge and select three horses in each Breeders Crown Challenge race. Past performances, provided by Trackmaster, are available for each Challenge race on the game page.

The Challenge races are the two-year-old Breeders Crown eliminations on Friday, November 21, the three-year-old Breeders Crown eliminations on Saturday, November 22 and the Breeders Crown finals on Saturday, November 29.

Participants are credited with a "mythical" $2.00 win (1st), place (2nd) and show (3rd) or "across the board" wager on each of their three selections in each of the Breeders Crown Challenge races.

The overall winners are determined by the highest total bankrolls at the end of the Challenge based on the payoffs for the $2 “across the board” wagers.

The grand prize is $1,000 and a 2009 Meadowlands Pace VIP Package that includes a travel stipend and dinner for two (2) in Pegasus Restaurant. The second-place prize is $500 and a Meadowlands IPOD Shuffle. The third-place prize is $250 and a Meadowlands Goodie Bag. There is also a bonus prize of $500 for selecting the most “on the board” finishes.

The contest is open to legal residents of the United States and Canada, and all selections must be made through the format provided on the Survival Challenge website page. No selections will be accepted by phone, fax, e-mail or any other means.

The deadline for selections each day is 30 minutes before first race post time. The nighttime racing action begins at 7 p.m.
