Malabar Maple To Kendal Hills

The Enviro Stables Ltd. and United Concepts Ltd. have announced their trotting stallion, Malabar Maple, will stand at Kendal Hills for the 2009 and 2010 breeding seasons.

The nine-year-old son of Malabar Man, who banked in excess of $500,000 in his career, captured a number of stake events including the Zweig Memorial in a track record time of 1:53.2 and the New Jersey Sire Stakes Final at the Meadowlands as a three-year-old.

He also finished a solid third in his Hambletonian elimination and finished fourth in the finals of the Breeders Crown at ages two and three.

From his first three crops of racing Malabar Maple has produced a number of solid performers including the stakes-winning filly Maple Sugar (1:56.3 - $248,300) and a pair of speedy sons - Twin B Rawley (1:55 - $175,251) and Mignon (1:55.1 – $70,990).

From 167 foals of racing age Malabar Maple has produced 66 winners, 19 of which are stakes winners and 44 stakes-placed performers.

In Australia from 2 small crops Malabar Maple has produced very well with six individual winners in 2008, this including the two-year-old Victoria Sires Stakes Champion, Trottn On The Ritz, and last year’s Breeders Crown third-place finisher, My Mate Mal.

Malabar Maple’s 2009 stud fee will be $3,000, with special discounts for multiple breedings and discounts for loyal clients who have previously bred to Malabar Maple.
