Super Stakes Sunday Entry Box Open
Horsemen are reminded that entries for the fifth annual Super Stakes Sunday card at Harrah's Philadelphia will be taken until Wednesday, August 15.
The box closes at 9:00 a.m for the blockbuster card, which will take to the track on Sunday, August 19 at 1:30 p.m.
The Super Stakes Sunday program, in addition to the co-featured $500,000 Battle of the Brandywine (three-year-old pace), $500,000 Colonial (three-year-old trot), and $350,000 Valley Forge (three-year-old filly pace) and their respective consolations, will feature the $150,000 Maxie Lee Memorial Invitational Trot and the $150,000 PHHA Invitational Pace.
A trio of $75,000 PHHA Open events round out the card, with races written for three-year-old pacers and trotters, and for two-year-old pacers. Pennsylvania-bred horses will be preferred in these events, followed by Pennsylvania-owned horses and then all others.
Horsemen should note that all races with purses of at least $100,000 will be raced out of a six-hour detention.
Any owners or trainers that would like clubhouse reservations for Super Stakes Sunday are advised to contact the PHHA at 610-874-5200 no later than Thursday, August 16 by 5:00 p.m.
