ATSS Moving Across The Maritimes
Atlantic Sires Stakes two and three-year-old trotters met for some friendly competition at Woodstock Raceway in New Brunswick last night.
Majian Chester and driver James Ripley captured the first three-year-old trotting event for owner Marylea Ripley of Amherst, NS.
The other three-year-old event went to Sweetwater Rukkus and driver Clare MacDonald for owner Ralph Annear of Montague, PE.
Meanwhile Dusty Lane Nick with Corey MacPherson holding the lines captured the first two-year-old event. The trotting colt is owned by Blayne and Sandra White of Belle River, PEI.
The other two-year-old division went to Im Graceful and driver Gary Chappell for owners David and Debbie MacMurdo and Chris MacKay of Kensington, PE.
ATSS racing action moves across the Maritimes on Sunday, when Inverness Raceway plays host to the three-year-old pacing fillies. Three ‘A’ divisions will each go for a purse pool of $6,920 and two ‘B’ divisions will go for $2,500.
First-race post time at Inverness on Sunday is 1:30 p.m.
