Dream Of Glory Night Promotions Announced
Officials with Hanover Raceway have announced the details a long slate of promotional activities which will be accompanying its highly-anticipated Dream of Glory Trot Night this Saturday (August 4).
This Saturday night, Hanover Raceway hosts its marquee event, the $100,000 final of the Dream of Glory Trot.
The Dream of Glory (Race 10) will headline the card of racing, as eight three-year-old trotters will duke it out for Hanover Raceway’s top prize, but there will be all kinds of excitement off the track as well.
The action will get underway in the afternoon, as the Hambletonian will be shown on the infield video screen and in the After the Wire lounge and teletheatre.
Hanover's race-night buffet will begin at 5:00 p.m., and at 6:00 p.m. the live festivities will begin with a BBQ and live music from Crippled Ducks on the rooftop. There will be a special first-race post time of 6:30 p.m. for Hanover Raceway’s 11-dash live card.
As well as the Dream of Glory final and consolation, the half-mile oval will play host to the Don 'Steely' Wilson and Earl Ash Memorial races and the annual mascot race, as Mascot Roadshow 2012 will roll into town for the second race of the season. Black Beauty will look to win on her home track for the third straight year.
Throughout the night, a number of promotions will be offered, including prize draws in every race, Dream of Glory trivia, and the Ride With Me contest sponsored by Advantage Sulky, where one lucky fan will pick their favourite driver and win cold, hard cash based on that driver’s performance.
Also, there is a special Dream of Glory ballot in every Hanover Raceway program that will earn eight lucky fans a WPS ticket on one horse in the $100,000 final, as well as a great prize package.
Hanover Raceway fans will also get a chance to win free rides in the Tara Oaks carriages as they will lead post parade throughout the evening.
Then, after the races, the track will celebrate the 11th annual Dream of Glory with a massive fireworks display. The fire ban in Hanover has been lifted so the track will proceed with its amazing fireworks show that fans have come to know and love each and every year.
