Allthatgltrsisgold Shines At Scioto
Allthatgltrsisgold dazzled racing fans at Scioto Downs on Saturday by crushing his foes in the $15,000 Open Pace with a six and three-quarter lengths victory in 1:51.4.
Chip Noble was in the bike behind the five-year-old son of Cams Card Shark, who is owned by breeder Victory Hill Farm of Indiana. Bobby Brower trains the winner.
Noble sent the 2-5 favourite to the front immediately from post eight and the race was never in doubt after that. Cmon Blaze finished second, but was placed third when driver Sandy Beatty interfered with In Theory, who was placed second.
The win was the fifth of the season for Allthatgltrsisgold , who has earnings now of $729,714.
Christina Victory and driver J.D. Wengerd used the same tactics to win the $15,000 co-featured Open Trot.
Wengerd sent him to the front from post seven and he won easily in 1:55.2 by more than three lengths. Jimmy Smith trains the seven-year-old gelded son of Victory Sam for owner Thomas Mucci.
Southwind Pepino rallied from far back to get second place while Northern Photo was third. Favoured Quick N Slick never was a factor in the race and finished seventh.
The win was only Christina Victory’s third in 23 starts and he took a new lifetime mark in winning.
