Hat Trick For Red Leaf Again
While the Leafs of the NHL struggle to get it together on the ice, another Leaf is tearing it up on the track at Rideau Carleton Raceway.
Red Leaf Again captured the $13,400 Preferred Pace for the third week-in-a-row thanks to a gate-to-wire score in Thursday's edition of the class.
In rein to his Hall of Fame trainer/driver Jacques Hebert, the five-year-old son of Dragon Again threw down splits of :27.2, :58.1 and 1:27.2 before uncorking a :27.4 final frame to post the 1:55.1 decision over Stallone and Imjustalittleguy.
Saul Steinfeld of Montreal, QC holds the papers on the suddenly photogenic pacer, who started the year 0-for-20. Tonight's win was the 24th lifetime score for the career winner of $136,274.
