Man In Pink Wins EPR Feature
Favourite Man In Pink delivered on his pari-mutuel promise in the featured $1,700 Winners Over Pace over a sloppy Exhibition Park Raceway on Saturday afternoon

With Mark Haig in the driver's seat, Man In Pink ($3.90) got away sixth during the :29.4 opening quarter, but narrowed his nine length deficit through middle splits of 1:01.3 and 1:33.1 to just one length. The eight-year-old Camluck gelding took over command in the stretch and pulled away for the two and a half length tally in 2:02.3 over the track rated three seconds off. Joseph Michael and Todd Trites finished second while Skippy and Dale Spence came on for third.
The winner of two races in six season starts is trained and owned by Gordon White of Saint John, N.B.
Slim N Sleek ($28) earned back-to-back wins in the top mares class with a three length romp in 2:03.1 for trainer-driver Michael Downey and owner Dr. Mitchell Downey of Saint John, N.B.
