ORC Rules On Three Appeals
On Tuesday, June 5, the Ontario Racing Commission released its rulings in regard to the appeals of horsemen Doug McNair, Marc St. Louis and Brandon Campbell.
In regard to McNair, he was requesting an adjournment to accommodate counsel in regard to a 10-day driving suspension and two years of probation ruling for failing to attend a hearing on February 22, 2012, pursuant to a 'Summons to a Witness' and ORC Rule 24.03 of the Rules of Standardbred Racing. McNair requested an adjournment to accommodate counsel and was granted his request.

In regard to St. Louis, he was appealing a five-day driving suspension and $300 fine for using his whip in an indiscriminate manner on March 14, 2012 at Windsor Raceway. The ORC denied St. Louis' appeal.

In regard to Campbell, he was appealing a three-day driving suspension and $200 fine for striking a horse below the level of the shaft in a race at Woodbine Racetrack on March 1, 2012. The ORC denied Campbell's appeal.
