The Registrar of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has approved the application made by Flamboro Downs to change its remaining race date schedule for 2026.

The race date schedule for Flamboro Downs has been amended with seven Saturday race dates replaced by seven Wednesday race dates as follows:

• Delete: Saturday, Nov. 14, 21, 28
• Delete: Saturday, Dec. 5, 12, 19, 26
• Add: Wednesday, Nov. 11, 18, 25
• Add: Wednesday, Dec. 2, 9, 16, 30

Post time will be 6:25 p.m. each day.

"We felt that the move to Wednesdays would allow us a better opportunity to increase the wagering handle on the Flamboro Downs product," Chad Gates, Flamboro Downs General Manager, told Trot Insider. "With Saturdays currently saturated with racing product, we felt that moving to Wednesdays would better showcase the Ontario racing product, hopefully translating into increased revenue from wagering for Ontario Racing as a whole."

The application for change to the 2026 race date schedule was reviewed by Ontario Racing and Ontario Lottery and Gaming and recommendations for approval of the changes were received from both organizations.

The approved changes to the 2026 race date schedule are also conditional upon approval by the Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency.
