Levine Stable Gets A Grand Slam At Saratoga Monday
Trainer Gary Levine recorded three wins within the first four races and also went on to win the 14th race finale on the Monday, Nov. 2 program at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
The veteran conditioner and former Saratoga training champion is in the midst of another big season at the Spa and added another four victories to his year’s tally on the matinee card. The Levine stable featured a quartet of trotters to enjoy Monday scores as his day began with a victory from sophomore filly Antonella ($2.88), who prevailed for the first time in her three local tries in 2:02.3. Levine, who regularly teams up with Saratoga Hall of Fame reinsman Jimmy Devaux, saw his three-year-old gelding Swan In All ($4.22) score in 1:59.3 to register his second local win since coming to town late in the summertime before the trainer completed his early training hat trick with another sophomore filly, Indiana Help ($2.46), who scored in 1:57.1 and is now a back-to-back winner in her first Spa starts.
Epos Ostervang DK ($45.46) later sprung the upset in the afternoon’s finale, prevailing at odds of 21-1 in 1:57 to complete the
grand slam for his connections. The 10-year-old gelding has won four times since his August arrival at Saratoga.
Levine will likely finish third in the training standings in 2026 sitting well behind leaders Melissa Beckwith and Jaymes McAssey but with a big lead over everyone else with about five weeks remaining in the racing season.
Live harness racing resumes on Saturday at Saratoga with a first post time set for 12 p.m.
