Malevolent headlines the featured $6,900 Preferred Pace on Tuesday, Sept. 29 when Red Shores Summerside Raceway will present a 14-dash card beginning at 6 p.m. (ADT).

The Paul Langille trainee is the 5-2 morning line favourite from post three in the race 13 feature. Langille will drive the four-year-old Malicious-Lady Kelleigh Anne gelding for Nova Scotia owners Debbie Francis and Rosanne Langille. Malevolent won a conditioned pace at Summerside on Sept. 15, then came from well back to finish a close second to Air Force Hanover last Tuesday.

Among the top selections in the race, Fast Louie, to be driven by Brady Sweet, will start from post two for trainer Mike Ramsay, while Brookdale Johnny has post four with Ken Murphy driving for trainer Phil Sizer. Brookdale Johnny won the P.E.I. Colt Stakes Graduate Gold final earlier this month and captured the top class at Summerside last time out on Sept. 15.

Gigis Dream, an eight-time winner this season, will leave from the rail for driver Jason Hughes and trainer Earl Watts. Doc Awesome completes the lineup from post five for driver Adam Merner and trainer Darla MacEachern.

The 2026 P.E.I. Matinee Racing Program finals are also part of Tuesday’s card. Camco Karlie, Reddirt Nellabella and Adkins Hanover will compete before race one. After race two, Highly Toxic, Woodmere Cheetah and Legal Jargon will contest the Province of P.E.I Trophy. Elm Grove Treasure, Venus N Serena and Buddys N Virgins will meet after race four.
