Lady Cafe Au Lait returns to the scene of her last-out 1:52.1 track-record victory and aims for her 15th consecutive win when Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park presents 14 dashes on Thursday, Sept. 24.

The second $9,000 Aged Pacing Mares Series event goes as Race 13, with Lady Cafe Au Lait drawing the rail as the 5-2 morning-line favourite. Marc Campbell will drive for trainer Earl Watts and owners Windemere Farms of Springvale, P.E.I. and Matt and David Burke of Stratford, P.E.I. The four-year-old has won 16 of 19 starts this season, including a four-length score in the previous leg of this series, and is perfect in 13 starts on the Island.

Cc Rockin Rosie offers the chief challenge from post two at 3-1 on the morning line. Trainer-driver Adam Merner sends her out for Steven MacDonald of Stanhope, P.E.I. and Tommy Collings of Mount Stewart, P.E.I. after the mare captured the other division last Thursday in 1:53.3. Sugar Bowl, owned by Brian MacPhee of Mount Stewart and trained by Mike McGuigan, starts from post three at 7-2 with Corey MacPherson driving. 

Brokeandoutofgas headlines the other division as the 5-2 morning-line favourite from post five with Gilles Barrieau set to drive the mare. Tammy Collings of Hazel Brook, P.E.I. owns and trains her. Trumps Girl, driven by Marc Campbell for trainer McGuigan and owner Tommy Collings, has post four at 3-1 on the morning line.

Buckhead Ridge, Fight Song and Flemsteen meet again for a $6,050 purse in the Open Trot. Fight Song (3-1) starts from post four with Jason Hughes driving for trainer Ashley Gamester and owner Donald MacRae of Vernon Bridge, P.E.I. Buckhead Ridge (PP5, Marc Campbell, 5-2) defeated Fight Song in their Sept. 10 meeting, while Fight Song won their previous two encounters. Landon Campbell trains Buckhead Ridge for Brady Doyle of Stratford. Flemsteen (PP1, Ken Murphy, 7-2) has three Open Trot wins this year and returns to the top level after a victory down in class. Mike Ramsay trains the gelding for Max Webster Stable of Inverness, N.S, Jeffrey Skinner of Hammonds Plains, N.S., Derrill Murphy of Lethbridge, Alta. and Clair Murphy of Millvale, P.E.I.

First-race post time is 6 p.m.
