The post positions were drawn on Sunday, Sept. 20 for the single $25,000 USD first heat of the Grade 1 Jugette, to be held on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Delaware, Ohio.

A field of eight three-year-old pacing fillies will first compete in the 18th race first heat, then return to contest the $227,400 USD Jugette final in the 21st race. All eight starters in the first heat will be eligible to race in the final, with posts to be determined by the order of finish in the first heat. 

Ron Burke, the Jugette's winningest trainer with five victories, will have three fillies in this year's event: Sandyboots Yankee (post two, Yannick Gingras), Loua Dipa (post three, Ronnie Wrenn Jr.) and Im A Lou Lou (post five, Tim Tetrick).

Loua Dipa has earned nearly $1.6 million during her career for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi. The homebred daughter of Sweet Lou-Looksgoodinaromper has 13 career wins in 21 starts. The Grade 1 Fan Hanover and Grade 3 Jerry Silverman Memorial winner missed a portion of the summer due to throat surgery. Most recently, she qualified on Sept. 15 at The Meadows in 1:51.2.

Stablemate Sandyboots Yankee heads to Delaware on a three-race win streak, including her lifetime best 1:49.4 at The Meadows in the Pennsylvania Stallion Series final on Sept. 5. A career winner of more than $200,000, the Always B Miki-A Beach Cowgirl lass is owned by Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi, Larry Karr and Philip Collura.

Im A Lou Lou, a Sweet Lou-Benear filly, is a half sister to the 2014 Little Brown Jug champion Limelight Beach. She has earned more than $500,000 for Burke Racing Stable, Knox Services, Larry Karr and Philip Collura. Im A Lou Lou heads to Delaware off a career-best 1:49.3 victory in a division of the Keystone Classic at The Meadows on Sept. 18.

The supplemental entry, Vanna By The River, drew post eight. Owned by Our Three Sons Stable, Vanna By The River enters the Jugette in sharp form for trainer Cory Stratton, fresh off a runner‑up finish in the Ohio Sire Stakes championship on Sept. 12, missing the victory by just half a length. The daughter of Downbytheseaside-Sweet Ace has hit the board in 13 of 16 starts this season and boosted her career bankroll to nearly $375,000. The supplemental fee was $15,000 USD.
