One week after he was beaten as the favourite, Arrowhead Hanover earned redemption with a 1:55.2 triumph in the $31,250 Open Handicap Trot at Harrington Raceway on Wednesday, Sept. 16.

The Dan Munson trainee started fifth for Troy Beyer in a :27.4 quarter, took second-over cover to the half in :56.3 and three-quarters in 1:26, and rallied smartly to score a three-length victory over Baby Bob (Ross Wolfenden), who edged out Speed Away (Corey Callahan) for third.

Arrowhead Hanover took his sixth win of the year from 27 attempts for Thestable Arrowheadhanovr. The four-year-old International Moni-Aarena Hanover gelding was the heavy favourite in the Open on Sept. 9 and finished third but rewarded his backers at 3-5 this week in achieving his 14th lifetime victory in 62 starts. The win price was $3.20

Russell Foster had five wins on the 14-race program, with only two favourites among the winners. He won with Bellsforall ($21.20), Whitesville D Hill ($8.20), Franchesca ($4.20), Forward Path ($6.20) and A Long Breeze ($2.40). Foster has tallied 201 wins this year from 1,383 starts.

Corey Callahan had three wins, while Tony Morgan and Brandon Givens had doubles.
