Wehadababyetzaboy ($2.60) continued his stellar 2026 with a 1:51.1 victory in the $31,250 Open Handicap Pace at Harrington Raceway on Monday, Sept. 14.

Heavily favoured despite the outside post eight, Wehadababyetzaboy erased the outside post deficit early as he marched to an early lead near the opening quarter of :27.1 for driver Brandon Givens. He led the field through fractions of :55.4 and 1:24.1 before sprinting the final quarter in 27 seconds for a two-length triumph over pocket-sitter Lous Starr (Corey Braden). Stevens Saloon (Jason Thompson) was third.

Trained by Chuck Crissman Jr., Wehadababyetzaboy has won 12 of his 30 starts on the season for owners EVM Racing of Middletown, Delaware. The seven-year-old Sweet Lou-Camille gelding has won four of his last five races over Delaware’s half-mile racetrack.

Ridin The Waves ($5) won his sixth straight race in 1:52.4, in a $15,972 event for $34,722 claiming pacers. Driven by Tony Morgan, the four-year-old Downbytheseaside-Takealilridewithme gelding is trained by Daniel Munson, who co-owns along with Penelope Morgan of Warwick, Maryland.

Driver Deshawn Sample Jr. recorded his first career driving win with a 1:54.2 score aboard Carrie Cameron and David Smith’s Sweetnfast ($11.20) in the sixth race. Sample, 26, is the son of trainer Deshawn Sample, who conditions the victorious sophomore pacer. The rookie reinsman earned his first win in just his sixth drive.

Live harness racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule (post time 4:30 p.m.) through Oct. 21.
