Victories by undefeated phenoms Woodmere Rock It and Windemere Skye highlighted the two all-stakes cards at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park on Saturday, Sept. 12.

Windemere Skye continued her flawless career with another commanding Atlantic Sires Stakes (ATSS) victory in the second $18,240 A division for three-year-old pacing fillies on the evening program.

Marc Campbell sent the daughter of Somewhere Fancy-Howmac Sissy directly to the front and controlled every fraction through splits of :27.3, :57.2 and 1:26.4. Windemere Skye then sprinted home in :27.2 to win by four lengths for her 20th straight win in 1:54.1. Alwaysinfullforce (Gilles Barrieau) was second, with Covered In Purple (Ken Murphy) third.

Windemere Skye has now earned $197,083 for trainer Earl Watts and owners Windemere Farms of Springvale, P.E.I. and Matt Burke of Stratford, P.E.I. She paid $2.10 to win.

Woodmere Rock It extended his perfection to eight starts as he produced the fastest performance of the afternoon card, which featured ATSS two-year-old pacers.

Gilles Barrieau sent the undefeated gelding to the front from post five in the first $15,520 ATSS A division for colts and geldings, and Woodmere Rock It set fractions of :28.3, :58.1 and 1:27.3 before sprinting home in :27.2 to win by 1-3/4 lengths in 1:55. Southdale Jeff (Adam Merner) finished second with Woodmere Dougal (Corey MacPherson) third.

Jamie Smith trains Woodmere Rock It for TheStable Woodmererock It of Guelph, Ont. The son of Tobago Cays-Musette Mindale raised his earnings to $54,001. He paid $2.10 to win.

Marc Campbell collected four driving victories on the 10-dash afternoon program, including two Earl Watts-trained winners in the ATSS.

Campbell guided Malicious Benny ($2.30) to victory in the other $15,520 A division for males. The gelding cut the fractions of :28.2, :59 and 1:28.4 and held off Philndangerous (Brodie MacPhee) by a quarter-length in 1:57.4, with Woodmere Fergus (Jason Hughes) third. Wade Peconi of Stanchel, P.E.I. owns and bred the winning son of Malicious-Howmacs Princess, who is now four-for-eight with $36,249 in the coffers.

Sheeowtime Speed ($4.60) gave Campbell and Watts another stakes victory in the first $20,300 A division for fillies. After starting seventh in a :28.4 opener, Campbell moved the Somewhere Fancy-Betty Hill filly first-over to the half in :58.4, and she took command before the three-quarters in 1:28.2 on her way to a three-length score in 1:57.1. Starship Daisy (Paul Langille) completed the Watts exactor with Nauti Beach (Merner) third. Sheeowtime Speed is owned by Windemere Farms and Matt and David Burke of Stratford. She won for the fourth time in seven outings and has now earned $36,942.

Woodmere Twigs ($12.80) captured the other $20,300 filly A division in 1:58.4 for trainer-driver Merner. The daughter of Blood Money-Very Ideal Hanover raced in the three-hole through :27.4, :58.2 and 1:29.1 fractions and rallied through the stretch to defeat Redland Equinox (Kenny Arsenault) by three-quarters of a length. Howmac Lula (Barrieau) finished third. Woodmere Twigs, now three-for-seven with $31,474 in earnings, is owned by Runningonempty of Stanhope, P.E.I. 

Campbell’s other victories came in $6,000 ATSS B colt divisions with Grampiesdirtyjokes ($3.30) in 1:58.2 for trainer Landon Campbell and 9267 7327 Quebec Inc., and Wilson Cassidy ($2.50) in 1:57.2 from the Kevin Bailey stable. Wilson Cassidy is owned and was bred by Bailey.

Trainer-driver Merner also clicked with Howmac Derry ($2.90), who won her filly B division in 1:58.2 for owners Cory Livingston, Route Nineteen Racing and Derryl Livingstone. Redland Chea ($2.90) opened the card with a front-end victory in 1:59.4 for driver Paul Langille and trainer Kyle Williams in a B division for fillies. James Trainor and Williams share ownership of the filly. Owner-trainer Monica Sutherland teamed Irish Rover ($5.90) to a narrow win in 1:59.1 in a B division for males. Tonton Ron ($14.50) rallied to win his B division in 1:59.3 for driver Ken Murphy, trainer Rick Armstrong and owner Yvanhoe Landry.

The evening card was for the sophomores, with five ATSS A pacing divisions serving as the headliners.

Isle Mach Da Money ($4.90) delivered in the first $18,240 A division for fillies. Trainer-driver Gilles Barrieau positioned the daughter of Tobago Cays-Mach The Cut second through :28.4, :59.3 and 1:28.2 fractions before she powered home in :28.1 to win by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:56.4 for owner David Lund of Moncton, N.B. Pacesetting filly Going For Blood (MacPherson) finished second and Beach Jewels (Jason Hughes) was third. The winner is now four-for-15 on the season and nine-for-21 lifetime with $44,348 in earnings.

The $15,000 A divisions for three-year-old pacing colts were won by Blazing Cays, Zero Two Sixty and Shanghai Whiskey.

Trainer-driver Darren Crowe moved Blazing Cays ($6.90) first-over from third after :29.2 and :59 panels before the gelding took command past three-quarters in 1:27.2 and won his division by a neck in 1:56.2 for owners Keith and Lewis MacDonell of Port Hood, N.S. and Route Nineteen Racing of Judique, N.S. Smilin With Lou (Adam Merner) was second, with Woodmere Kobe (MacPherson) third. Blazing Cays, by Tobago Cays-Jenna Grace, improved his seasonal record to seven-for-11 and his career totals to nine wins and $28,483 in earnings from 17 outings.

Zero Two Sixty ($3.30) and driver Ken Murphy wore down the leaders to take their division in 1:55.1 for trainer Sifroi Melanson and owner Ultimate Stable of Greater Lakeburn, N.B. He rolled on the rim through a :27.4 first panel, slid back into third through a :57.1 half, then reemerged going to three-quarters in 1:26.3 and pushed clear by a length in the lane. Darbies Fancy (Barrieau) finished second and Shekhan (Colin Sheppard) completed the triactor. Zero Two Sixty has won three straight starts, raising his stats to four-for-13 on the season and 11-for-27 with $119,797 earned in her career.

Shanghai Whiskey ($3.60) closed out the A divisions with a front-end victory in 1:55.4 for driver Marc Campbell and owner-trainer Wade Myers of Charlottetown, P.E.I. He led through :26.3, :56.4 and 1:27.4 fractions and drew away to a 2-3/4-length victory over Sporty Anthony (MacPherson), while Tobins Gem (Keith Legge) finished third. Shanghai Whiskey now has eight wins from 13 outings this year and is nine-for-23 lifetime with $52,321 earned.

The evening card also had two $10,000 divisions of the Reliable Motors Richard Campbell Memorial, won by Miki Shan N and Mappos Lion.

Miki Shan N captured the first Campbell Memorial division in 1:52 for driver Corey MacPherson and trainer Chris Mackay. The seven-year-old son of Always B Miki-Yankee Dream cut fractions of :26.4, :56.3 and 1:24.4 before holding off Ammo (Marc Campbell) by three-quarters of a length. Nuttin But Finesse (Mike Downey) finished third. 

Miki Shan N is owned by Kap Singh Racing Stable of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., Stephen Klunowski of North York, Ont., Earl Hill Jr. of Ohsweken, Ont. and Donald MacRae of Vernon Bridge, P.E.I. The 2025 Gold Cup and Saucer champion is five-for-21 this year and 25-for-82 lifetime with $388,321 in earnings. He paid $4.50 to win.

The second Richard Campbell Memorial division went to Mappos Lion. He started third for Ryan Desroche in a :27 quarter, moved second-over past a :56.4 half, advanced through three-quarters in 1:24.4, and circled wide down the lane to prevail in 1:53 for trainer Taylor Doyle. Twin B Tuffenuff (Barrieau) finished 1-1/4 lengths back in second, while Get Wings (Paul Langille) was third. 

Hailee Currie of Rocky Point, P.E.I. and Carol Campbell of Baddeck, N.S. own Mappos Lion. The nine-year-old son of Sunshine Beach-Pacific Playmate has won 12 of 15 starts this year and 42 of 98 lifetime with earnings of $348,727. He returned $5.30.

Blood Magic ($35.10) posted the largest upset of the evening in the opening $6,000 ATSS B division for fillies. Driver Adam Merner rallied the filly from eighth to win by a neck in 1:59.2 for trainer Paul Doyle, who shares ownership with Vaughan Doyle.

The remaining filly B divisions went to Starship Sundancer and Rose Knows Money. Starship Sundancer ($6.10) rallied to win by a neck in 1:57.4 for driver Paul Langille, trainer Earl Watts and owner Claude Poirier. Rose Knows Money ($3.60) completed a front-end victory in 1:56.4 for driver Legge, trainer George Rennison and the Estate of Roderick Smith.

Bet On Evil ($4.80) won the first colt B division in 1:58 for driver Ken Murphy and trainer David Dowling. He is owned by Shane Baglole and Max Webster Stable. Louie The Lip ($6.50) captured the other colt B division with a front-end score in 1:56.2 for driver Marc Campbell, trainer Tom Weatherbie and owners David Kennedy and Ian Smith.

Starship Glyde will attempt to extend his winning streak on a special 13-dash Sunday card with a 12:30 p.m. opening post time. The $5,000 featured conditioned pace lines up in Race 12.

Starship Glyde is the 5-2 morning-line favourite from post seven with Corey MacPherson in the seat for trainer Earl Watts and owner Windemere Farms. The six-year-old son of Control The Moment-American Chocolate has won his last two starts in Charlottetown, including a career-best 1:51.4 performance during Old Home Week followed by a 1:53.1 score on Aug. 29.

Blood Money is listed at 3-1 from post five with Gilles Barrieau driving for trainer Ron Matheson and owner Dr. Mitchell Downey. The 10-year-old free-legged son of Sweet Lou-Blood Diamond is a six-time winner from 17 outings this season. Phil My Beer is 7-2 on the morning line from post two with Marc Campbell driving for trainer Landon Campbell. The four-year-old Shanghai Phil-Hazel gelding was fourth in P.E.I. Colt Stakes Graduate Series action in his latest outing.
