Racing returns to Northville Downs at the Barry Expo Center this Tuesday, Sept. 8, and Wednesday, Sept. 9, with the Michigan Sire Stakes finals taking centre stage on Wednesday’s program.

The eight finals feature a combined purse total of $736,500 USD, bringing together some of the state’s top Standardbreds for an afternoon of championship racing.

Last week’s elimination races provided plenty of excitement, with several divisions producing competitive finishes. The action also resulted in multiple track records being broken, setting the stage for what promises to be an outstanding pair of racing programs this week.

Tuesday’s card will feature overnight campaigners, with 11 races scheduled. Wednesday’s 10-race program will be highlighted by the eight Michigan Sire Stakes finals. The final two races of the afternoon will be a pair of $13,000 USD Opens, one for each gait.

First-race post time is 1 p.m. EDT both days.
