Copley’s Crew Triples At Rideau
Trainer Jamie Copley started off his Thursday night at Rideau Carleton Raceway with a victory in the opener, and things just snowballed from there for the young conditioner

Copley, who ranks second among Rideau’s winningest trainers this season, enjoyed a three-win performance over the course of the 15-race card.
Well Done Hanover (1:58.2) took the opener for the productive conditioner, and stablemates CMR Maybe Loaded (1:57) and Shanghai B G (1:55.4) in Races 3 and 8, respectively. All three pacers were driven to victory by Stephane Gendron, who tacked on another catch-driving score behind Belvidere Hanover (2:00) in Race 14 to bring his nightly win total to four. The win for CMR Maybe Loaded was her eighth in a row.
Copley, who has sent out more than 100 winners in each of the last two seasons, is quickly closing in on $3 million in lifetime earnings.
Thursday’s card also saw Warrawee Koine power to a 1:54 score in an $11,500 conditioned tilt. The six-year-old daughter of Astreos-My Gal Hall was three-wide past the quarter pole in :27.1 for driver Denis St. Pierre, but she eventually cleared and supplied middle splits of :56.1 and 1:25.3 before finishing off the competition with a final quarter in :28.2. She won by a length over Thundering Bay in 1:54. Viper Select rounded out the top three finishers.
Colin Johnson trains the classy distaffer for owner Dr. Michael Wilson of Rockwood, ON. The 25-time winner, who is now 2-for-3 this season, has banked more than $520,000 in her career.
