Raptors Won scratched into the $13,000 conditioned feature pace for fillies and mares on the opening-night card at Flamboro Downs on Sunday, Sept. 6 and made two early moves to the front on the way to a dominant victory.

Away from post five, Raptors Won reached for the front and sped to the quarter in :26.2 with Highland Delight (Samuel Fillion) pressing up to her outside before taking over. Jason Ryan directed Raptors Won back to the lead on the way to the half in :56 and increased the pace to three-quarters in 1:24.1. The mare then pulled further away from Highland Delight, cruising to victory by 3-3/4 lengths in 1:53.1. Highland Delight finished second but returned $17 to win as Raptors Won raced for purse money only. Wickedpace (J Harris) was third.

Raptors Won scored her first win of the year in 18 starts for trainer Jodie Cullen and A1stable of Dundas, Ont. The seven-year-old daughter of Big Jim-Riveting is 22-for-104 lifetime with $398,738 in earnings.

Flamboro Downs will host racing on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays through the end of the year.
