The community of Glenboro, MB is banding together on Saturday, November 8 and holding a benefit for injured horseman Ron Cullen.

On August 10, while competing in a race in Killarney, Cullen sustained broken vertebrae after being involved in a four-horse spill. An update on Cullen's situation a day later indicated that it would take at least a six-month recovery period before he would be able to walk again.

Glenboro, Cullen's hometown, is doing its best to support one of its own. A roast beef dinner and dance will be taking place on November 8. A live band is also on the bill. An auction and draws are also to take place, with all proceeds going to the Ron Cullen Trust Fund.
