Favoured two-year-old pacing fillies Cowboy Candy and Annie O continued their winning momentum in a pair of $103,472 New York Sire Stakes on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 1 at Saratoga Casino Hotel.

Cowboy Candy rattled off her sixth consecutive victory in NYSS action when she was a dominant winner in 1:54.2 over a sloppy track. Jason Bartlett drove the So Surreal-Caviart Elena filly to a nine-length romp for trainer Aaron Lambert after coasting to an easy lead and never looking back. Perfect in six Sire Stakes starts, Cowboy Candy moved her record to six-for-seven overall, with earnings topping $265,000 for owner Chain Lightning Stables of Beach Haven, New Jersey. Fendilicious (Braxten Boyd) and Hollys Choice (Matt Kakaley) rounded out the top three finishers.

Annie O earned her fourth straight NYSS victory with Leon Bailey in the bike as she led wire-to-wire in 1:54.3, winning by 1-1/2 length over Too Pink To Pass (Lauren Tritton) after turning back a final-turn challenge from eventual third-place finisher Huntsvilles Honey (Matt Kakaley). Owned by trainer Andrew Stafford along with Bonnie Benson of Lewes, Delaware, the Huntsville-Rapunzel Blue Chip filly is now four-for-six in her career with more than $177,000 in earnings.

Where Is The Love, driven by Lauren Tritton, picked up her third straight Excelsior Series victory while taking a new mark of 1:54 in a seven-length romp for trainer Linda Toscano and owners Steven Held of Miller Place, New York and Bill Elliott of Woodstock, Ont. Trainer Anette Lorenzton's Shadow Of A Girl also dominated her $27,778 Excelsior division by a wide-open seven lengths, taking a new mark of 1:54.3 for her third win in the series. The Travis Alexander trainee Prop Bet (Matt Kakaley) added a fourth straight Excelsior victory to her resume with a 1:55.4 triumph for Florida-based owner Fiddler's Creek Stables.

Live harness racing goes on a brief hiatus at Saratoga and will return on Saturday, Sept. 12 when first post time for the
matinee will be 12 p.m.
