Trainer Rebecca Kanak padded her lead atop the standings at The Track On 2 with four wins on the Sunday, Aug. 30 card.

Her first win came courtesy of Cherry Smoothie ($3.60), who fended off multiple attacks as the leader and paced home gamely to break her maiden in 2:00. Mike Hennessy piloted the rookie Sunshine Beach-Emmasphere filly for owner Trevor Williams of Winnipeg, Man.

Forever Furley ($3.30) brushed to the top out of fourth on the backstretch and was resolute on the lead for a 1:54.3 victory in line to Drew Campbell for Kanak. Williams shares ownership in the seven-year-old Domitian Hanover-Adorable Killean mare with Aurel Vodon of Virden, Man. and Morning Line Inc. of Airdrie, Alta.

Kanak swept the late double, winning the first half with Outlaw Spiced Rum ($3.40). The eight-year-old daughter of Blue Bruner-Billie J Blue Chip scored in 1:56.2 with a dominant gate-to-wire effort for driver Mike Hennessy and owner Vodon.

Carving Credit ($8.10) swept from seventh to take the finale in 1:56.1. Campbell teamed the four-year-old up The Credit-Wynsum Lady gelding for owner Williams.

Kanak has won 24 races at The Track On 2 this year, 16 more than any other trainer. The fourth-year conditioner has surpassed her previous top seasonal total in wins, with 83 in 2026 from 330 starts. The Saskatoon, Sask. resident has now won 200 races since her 2023 debut.
