He hadn't been to Hanover Raceway for more than a month, but Tyler Borth certainly appeared right at home at the Grey-Bruce half-mile oval on Saturday, Aug. 29.

As Hanover Raceway hosted the finals for both the $44,500 Balanced Image and $53,000 Dream Of Glory for Ontario-sired trotters, Borth connected for five wins on the afternoon from his seven drives. Among those five wins: his first Balanced Image title courtesy Mr Predictable.

Eight two-year-old trotters lined up in the 2026 Balanced Image final, with Mr Predictable ($10.90; pictured above) delivering a wire-to-wire performance for his first career victory. Borth pointed the son of Muscle Mass-Victoriahasasecret to the lead from post three and he cleared to the top through the opening turn.  After fractions of :30.4, 1:03.1 and 1:34.3, Mr Predictable repelled the challenge of Shes Flexin (Jason Ryan) to win by 1-1/4 lengths in 2:04.4. Wolf Of Wallstreet (Austin Sorrie) edges Alarm Bell (Trevor Henry) for the show spot.

In six starts, Mr Predictable has a 1-2-0 summary with $33,350 in earnings. Blake MacIntosh — also a first-time Balanced Image winner — trains the gelding for Glenn Dyke of Townsend, De.

Before Borth brought home the Balanced Image winner, he delivered Chip Happened ($3) to victory in the $7,500 Thibadeau Trot as well as Cant Control Carl (1:59.2; $5.90) and Charmbo Chip (2:02.4; $18.80) in conditioned events. He capped his five-win afternoon aboard All Bets On Leigh (2:02; $5.40) in the $15,000 Doc Morley Memorial Pace.

One year ago, freshman Toss of the Dice was favoured in the 2025 Balanced Image Trot. He broke stride while on the lead, taking himself out of contention for driver Trevor Henry and trainer Kyle Fellows. The 25th edition of the Dream Of Glory for three-year-old trotters provided those participants with a measure of redemption.

A strong sextet lined up in the Dream Of Glory, with Thor B Good (Jonathan Drury) using the rail starting spot to find the front early and set the tempo. After a :29 opener, Stonebridge Wings (Phil Hudon) started the outer flow from fifth to prompt 3-5 choice Toss Of The Dice and Henry out of fourth to forge first up into a :59.3 half.

Henry and Toss Of The Dice still had more than a length to make up at the 1:29.1 third station, but the lead was diminishing around the final turn. Drury asked Thor B Good to be better, but Toss Of The Dice had enough left in the tank to roll past by half a length for the 2:00.2 decision. D A Masstermind (Ondrej Gois) was third.

Toss Of The Dice (Archangel-Roll Sevens) is owned by Yolanda Fellows of Rockwood, Ont., Leo Fleming of Campbellville, Ont., Bill Manes of Rockwood, Ont. and Bill Cripps of Acton, Ont. In 25 starts, he sports a summary of 8-2-5 with $166,650 in career earnings. As the 3-5 favourite, Toss Of The Dice returned $3.20 to his $2 win supporters.

The win in the Dream Of Glory was also a first for Henry — a longtime driving champion at the Hanover oval — as well as Fellows.
