K T Part E One Of Five For Jenson Thursday

K T Part E dazzled fans yet again in the $23,288 Mares Open Handicap Pace on Thursday, Aug. 27 at Running Aces as part of a five-win night for driver Brady Jenson.

Sent off as the 1-10 favourite from post nine, Jenson wasted little time in getting his impressive four-year-old mare involved and floated her wide around the first turn, steadily advancing toward the early leader Premer Desirey (driven by Dean Magee) through the :27.3 opening stanza.

K T Part E assumed control near the three-eighths marker and was well settled on the lead as they wheeled past the half-mile juncture in :56.3 while Minnesota Minnie (Gary Rath) began a first-over bid from the back of the pack with Fillister Photo (Casey Leonard) following cover.

K T Part E was still well in control after three panels in 1:24.4 while Apple Juice and Josiah Miller were now challenging from second, outside of pocket-sitter Premier Desirey. The favourite had plenty left in the homestretch and had no trouble defending against a late bid from Premier Desirey, who was clearly second best while JK My Girl rallied inside late to grab third for driver Rick Magee in the 1:52.1 mile.

Picking up her 11th win of the season, K T Part E (Cattlewash-Fine China) boosted her seasonal earnings to $144,714 while returning $2.20 to her pari-mutuel supporters. Jenson is also the winning trainer and owner.

With five driving wins on the Thursday card, Jenson capped off a huge week at the Minnesota oval. The track's defending champion driver and trainer accrued a total of 16 driving wins and 11 training wins over the last three nights of racing.

Live harness racing returns to Running Aces for an 11-race card on Sunday, Aug. 30 with first post set for 6 p.m. (CDT).
