Lady Saturn and driver Brett Crawford went from last to first in the final quarter of the $20,139 Fillies & Mares Open Handicap Pace at Tioga Downs on Friday, Aug. 21.

After trailing the field of six through fractions of :26.4, :55.2 and 1:23.3, Lady Saturn launched home in :28.2 to land in the winner's circle. She prevailed by three-quarters of a length in 1:52.4 over 2-5 favourite Soft Shot (Kyle Swift), with Aint She Pretty (Dylan Huckabone-Miller) rounding out the top three.

Michelle Crawford trains Lady Saturn, a five-year-old homebred mare by Huntsville out of P Note Blue Chip, for Dragon Tales Farm of Burnt Hills, New York. 

A winner two races ago in her last Tioga start in the Mares Open II class, Lady Saturn was the 8-1 third choice in her return to the Nichols, New York oval and paid $19.12 to her backers at the betting windows. A career winner of 16 races, she has earned three of her victories this year from 14 starts.
