House Drives Five More Winners At Clinton Raceway

Wendigo

On the heels of a milestone moment on Saturday night at Hiawatha Horse Park, harness racing's newest $10 million man Lorne House returned to Clinton Raceway on Sunday afternoon and duplicated his five-win performance there from a week ago.

House dominated the 11-race card on Aug. 16, driving five more winners over the Clinton half-mile oval including Wendigo ($19.10), who took one of the $10,000 divisions of the Prospect Series for two-year-old pacing fillies in race eight for trainer Pat Bissett and co-owner Wendy Armstrong. House got the All Bets Off-Sharen Hanover filly home first, swinging four-wide off the final turn for her maiden-breaking 2:02 triumph.

House started the day by producing a $112.30 early Daily Double, winning with the Pam Forgie-trained veteran trotter Esquire ($3.30) and maiden-breaking pacing filly Fijis Legacy ($59.90) for trainer John Marshall. He reined home another profitable winner in the fifth race as pacing mare Allstar Finest ($20.40) prevailed by a nose for trainer Scott McNiven. Buy Mediamonds ($3), trained by Ryan Steward, was House's only repeat winner from last Sunday as the three-year-old pacing filly took this week's 10th race.

House's second straight five-win day at Clinton pushed his meet-leading total to 23 and his overall 2026 win count to 107. The Dutton, Ont. reinsman, who surpassed the $10 million mark in lifetime earnings on Saturday night while racing at Hiawatha, has won 1,523 races since launching his driving career in 2001. This year marks his third straight season and the sixth of his career with more than 100 wins.

In other Prospect Series action, Th Moment Of Truce ($2.30) tripled in the series with a 1:59.3 wire-to-wire victory. Austin Sorrie drove the Control The Moment-Truce Seelster filly for trainer Gerard Demers and owner David Pilon of Berthier, Que.

With Brady Galliers catch-driving, the Cattlewash-Tech Trade filly Lyons Pasion ($2.80) held on by a nose in the other split to score her second straight Prospect win in 2:00 for trainer Ken Oliver and owner Threelyonsracing.
