Detonater Hanover captured the $155,000 final of the Grade 3 Millard Farms for two-year-old trotting colts and geldings while Rebel Moon won the $168,000 final of the Grade 3 Pure Ivory for two-year-old trotting fillies on Friday, Aug. 7 at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

After getting away third in a contested :27.2 quarter in the Millard Farms final, driver Tyler Moore sent Detonater Hanover to the front before the :57 half and the 3-5 favourite took it from there. He controlled the tempo through three-quarters in 1:26, opened up by more than two lengths turning for home and held off a late charge from Three Six Zero (Jody Jamieson) to win by three-quarters of a length in 1:53.3. Early leader Access Now (Bob McClure) finished third.

The Muscle Mass-Dancing Flames colt, who was $112,676 yearling purchase from the 2025 Standardbred Horse Sale, swept his elimination and the final of the Millard Farms to improve to two-for-four in his career for trainer Dr. Ian Moore and owner Detonater Hanover Stable of Cambridge, Ont. The victory boosted his bankroll to $136,530.

The victory was part of a training triple for Moore during Mohawk's 10-race card on Friday night. Moore also picked up wins with three-year-old pacing fillies P N G Shadow (1:50) and Jay (1:50.1), who both took new lifetime marks in rein to Mark MacDonald. 

Carl Jamieson also had a a big night as Rebel Moon and Treasure King gave the trainer a 1-2 finish in the Pure Ivory final.

Rebel Moon and driver James MacDonald left sharply for the early lead in a :28.1 opening quarter then retook command when Cold Breeze (Travis Henry) came calling. Rebel Moon, the 4-1 fourth choice, landed back in the deuce as Treasure King (Jody Jamieson) moved around her stablemate at the half in :58.3 and continued to call the shots to three-quarters 1:27.1 with Dreamtrade (Mark MacDonald) advancing uncovered. But James MacDonald angled Rebel Moon out for the stretch drive and responded with a strong late kick, trotting home in :27.4 to pull away from Treasure King by 2-3/4 lengths in 1:55.2. Tic Tac Fashion (Doug McNair) edged out Northern Song (Bob McClure) for third.

An Ontario Sires Stakes Gold winner in early July, the daughter of Muscle Mass-Kiss An Angel also won her elimination prior to the final of the Pure Ivory for owners Sarah Anthon of Fergus, Ont., and Ellen Ott of Buffalo, New York. She has already accumulated $136,150 through five career starts.

In a $50,000 Ontario-Sired Three-Year-Old Filly Open Pace carded earlier in the night, Pownal Bay Bobbi and driver James MacDonald defeated the favoured Ontario Sires Stakes Gold winner Daya (Jody Jamieson) by half a length in a career-best 1:48.4 mile. Kyle Fellows trains the filly, who is the first sub-1:50 winner sired by Century Farroh, for owners Yolanda Fellows of Rockwood, Ont., and Erna & Blair Corbeil of Leduc, Alta. Sent postward as the 3-1 second choice in the field scratched down to five, Pownal Bay Bobbi returned $8.40 to win. Moore's other Friday night starter, Lavender Seelster (Louis-Philippe Roy), rounded out the top three.
