Canadian driver Marie-Claude Auger has been invited to participate in the Bernie Kelly International Ladies Charity Race taking place on Friday, Aug. 7 during opening night of the Vincent Delaney Memorial Racing Weekend at Tir Prince Raceway in the United Kingdom.

The race is named after Bernie Kelly, who served as racing secretary, organizer and stalwart supporter of the Delaney family since the inception of the Vincent Delaney Memorial racing weekend. Kelly sadly passed away in 2019 after a tough battle with cancer.

The Bernie Kelly International Ladies Charity Race raises money for Cancer Trials, a charity that works to maximize access to cancer trials in order to expand cancer research and also prolong patient lives. 

One of the top drivers at Hippodrome 3R, Auger has driven winners of 790 races, including 127 during a career-best season in 2025. The Trois-Rivieres, Que. horsewoman also has 282 training wins since launching her career in 2000.

Auger will drive Victimised, a son of Luck Be Withyou trained by Andrew Stenhouse and owned by Lane Dyer, from post six in the Bernie Kelly International Ladies Charity Race, which is scheduled as the ninth and final race on Friday's evening card. 

The other international drivers participating include Chrissy Johnson, Kelly Peacock, Cynthia Bourke, Miia Salminen, Laura Frendo, Brett Grift and Erin Flanagan.
