It was the second win in 14 tries this season for Over Bet, who has banked $37,270 lifetime. The Bettors Delight-Sadayo Hanover colt is owned by Kim Smith of Ohsweken, Ont.
Aunt Gertrude converted a pocket trip into a 1:55.2 score in the filly pace with Anthony Haughan in the sulky for trainer Meg Crone. Aunt Gertrude stalked MC Princess (Garrett Rooney) through fractions of :28.3, :58, and 1:26.3 before sprinting home in :28.3 to outduel that foe by three parts of a length. Playsomethingsweet (Nicholas Boyd) was third, 2-3/4 lengths back of the winner.
