Standardbred Canada Returns To The CNE For 2026
Standardbred Canada (SC), with the support of the Central Ontario Standardbred Association (COSA), is pleased to announce its return to the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) in Toronto, Ont. for a second year, expanding its presence to more than 35,000 square feet in the Better Living Centre.
In 2026, SC will complement its virtual reality experience by bringing live Standardbred horses back to the CNE, reconnecting the Exhibition with its harness racing roots. Standardbred horses and miniature horses will be on-site throughout the event, with live harnessing and horse care demonstrations taking place daily.
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the world of harness racing through a variety of interactive and educational attractions, including:
- Live demonstrations
- Double-seat jog cart rides for Standardbred Canada Junior Members
- Meet-and-greet opportunities with Standardbred horses and industry participants
- A virtual reality harness racing simulator
- Wooden sulky rides
Throughout each day, Standardbred Canada presenters equipped with wireless microphones will engage thousands of visitors while sharing information about horse care, horse ownership and the Standardbred industry. Presentations will take place throughout the day according to the CNE schedule, with seating available for spectators.
Building on the success of the 2025 exhibit, which attracted thousands of visitors to the Better Living Centre and featured the popular virtual reality race bike simulator and miniature sulky races, SC is expanding the experience in 2026 with a larger footprint, the return of live Standardbreds and the support of COSA.
Join Standardbred Canada in the Better Living Centre at the Canadian National Exhibition from Aug. 21 to Sept. 7.
