Wayne McCullough of Peterborough, Ont. passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday, July 25, 2026 in his 82nd year. 

Predeceased by his parents, Wilma Bernice (Hoskin) McCullough and Robert Winston McCullough. Dear brother of Lynn McCullough and Sandra Gillis. Dear uncle of Joel McCullough, Rob McCullough (Grace) and Megan Gillis (Matthew Johnson). Great-uncle of Samantha Thompson (Alec), Joel McCullough (Hannah Piper), Abigail and Holly McCullough, Leo and Miles Johnson; great-great uncle of Jack and Clair Thompson. 

Wayne faithfully attended St. James United Church in Peterborough for 76 years. 

The family extends a special thank you to the Lakeridge staff for their dedicated care for Wayne in recent weeks, and for the ongoing and compassionate care of his physician, Dr. Heidman of the Peterborough Family Health Team over the last many years. 

Visitation will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, located at 30 King St E. in Cobourg, from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, July 31, 2026, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at noon and reception. Interment to take place at Cobourg Union Cemetery, located at Elgin St. West in Cobourg, at 2:30 p.m.
