Century Downs Racetrack & Casino will be hosting Libations Fest in support of the Alberta Standardbred Horse Association (ASHA) Homestretch Assistance Program during its Saturday, Aug. 1 stakes program.

Attendees of Libations Fest, sponsored by Born Brewing Co. and Country 105, can explore a variety of local craft beers, international wines and spirits. The event runs from 12:30 p.m. (MDT) to 4:30 p.m. (MDT).

Individual tickets to Libations Fest are $25 plus fees and taxes, and include samples for all vendors and three food tickets available for redemption at the Libations Fest food table. 

Shuttle bus tickets from Born Brewing Co. are $50 plus fees and taxes, and include samples for all vendors, three food tickets available for redemption at the Libations Fest food table, a Get Lucky Lager at Born Brewing Co. before heading out to Libations Fest at Century Downs and $10 betting voucher and a race day program. The shuttle bus departs from Born Brewing Co. at 12 p.m. (MDT) and departs from Century Downs at 4:30 p.m. (MDT).

Proceeds from ticket sales will go to ASHA's Homestretch Assistance Program and cans and bottles will be donated to Vecova. The Homestretch Assistance Program supports the essential workers of grooms, trainers and more who ensure the health and well-being of the horses. Under the Homestretch Assistance Program, there is financial support for these workers in the event they cannot work due to injury or illness. Vecova provides support to people living with disabilities through housing, wellness, mental health and employment services.

Post time for Saturday's live harness racing card at Century Downs is 12:45 p.m. (MDT), featuring Alberta Sires Stakes for two-year-olds and eliminations for the Gold & Illa Rumpel Memorial Stakes and the Ralph Klein Memorial Stakes for three-year-olds.
