Super Duper Cooper Invades Tioga For Open Win

Super Duper Cooper travelled north from Pocono Downs to tackle $23,239 Open Handicap Trot foes at Tioga Downs on Saturday, July 25, and the Enrico Robinson trainee came away with a commanding victory.

Braxten Boyd started the gelding fourth from the inside, then sent him out at the quarter in :28.1 to take the top past Enola (Mike Merton). Super Duper Cooper brought the field to the half in :57.3 and three-quarters in 1:26 and trotted home strongly, stretching his lead to 3-1/2 lengths for a 1:54.3 victory. Enola finished second, followed by Blackhawk Zette (James Kennedy).

Super Duper Cooper, a five-year-old E L Titan-Pink Power gelding, notched his fourth win of the year in 21 starts for owner Pollack Racing LLC. He is now 16-for-72 lifetime. The win price was $3.06.

Braxten Boyd had a driving triple on the 10-race card. Jim Pantaleano, Tom Merton and James Kennedy all won two races each.

Live racing returns to Tioga Downs on Sunday, with a card starting at 12:30 p.m.
