Three-year-old pacing filly sensation Windemere Skye will return to Truro Raceway on Friday, July 24 as she seeks the 18th victory of her perfect career during the evening's Atlantic Sires Stakes action.

Atlantic Sires Stakes return to Truro on Friday featuring the third leg for three-year-old pacing fillies and the opening round for the trotters. 

Windemere Skye hits the track in the first of three $10,000 'A' divisions for three-year-old pacing fillies in race eight. With regular reinsman Marc Campbell in the bike, the homebred Somewhere Fancy-Howmac Missy filly will start from the outside post six in her sixth sophomore outing. The Earl Watts trainee has been the best in her division on the Maritime racing circuit and has career earnings of $169,301 for breeder Windemere Farms of Springvale, P.E.I., and co-owner Matt Burke of Stratford, P.E.I. She heads to Truro off a P.E.I. Colt Stakes victory a week ago at Summerside Raceway following her last Truro appearance winning the Frank & Beth Stanfield Memorial Stakes earlier this month.

The other two "A" divisions will be contested as races 11 and 13 with the latter featuring Alwaysinfullforce, a runner-up to Windemere Skye in the opening Sires Stakes leg on May 24 at Summerside Raceway and a dominant division winner in the second leg on June 20 at Northside Downs. Gilles Barrieau will drive the Force N Fury-Toujours miss, who is looking to rebound from a rare break in stride in her last start as week ago, for trainer Mike McGuigan and owner/breeder James Whalen Jr. of Vernon River, P.E.I.

Three $6,000 "B" divisions will also go postward in races six, nine and 12.

The two and three-year-old trotters will be split into $10,000+ colt and filly divisions for the first time for the Atlantic Standardbred Breeders Association. This is a breed initiative, which is sponsored by the Prince Edward Island Harness Racing Industry Association.

On the trot, the freshman fillies will start things off in a 5:30 p.m. (ADT) non-wagering race before the 6:30 p.m. (ADT) betting card. The compact field of three is comprised of daughters of Muscle Through It including the recent debut winner in the P.E.I. Colt Stakes at Summerside, Saulsbrook Disco, for the father and son, driving and training team of Marc and Landon Campbell. Nine two-year-old colts and geldings will face off in race three with the Muscle Through It son Stunning Speed as the top pick coming off a debut win in the P.E.I. Colt Stakes for trainer/driver McGuigan.

With the inside posts in their respective sophomore trotting divisions, trainer William Lanigan's homebred filly Roseys El Girl is the early favourite for driver Kenny Murphy in race one while reigning Atlantic Sires Stakes trotting divisional champion Little Louis is the morning line choice off back-to-back stakes wins in P.E.I. for driver Corey MacPherson and trainer Kuri White in the fifth race for the colts and geldings.
