The field for the 2026 Battle of Waterloo is set after 10 Ontario-sired two-year-old pacing colts and geldings were entered on Wednesday, July 23 for Grand River Raceway’s upcoming signature race.

With no eliminations necessary, this year’s Battle of Waterloo will be contested for a purse of $205,000. It will be the main event as part of the traditional Industry Day matinee on the Civic Holiday Monday (Aug. 3) in Elora, Ont.

A dozen Ontario-sired two-year-old pacing fillies were entered for the Battle of the Belles.

A pair of $10,000 eliminations will take place this Monday, July 27 to determine the field for the $165,000 final. The top four finishers in each elimination, plus a fifth-place finisher drawn by lot, will advance to the final on Industry Day.
