SC To Present Driver Showcase Ahead Of 2026 NDC
With the 2026 National Driving Championship (NDC) just days away, Standardbred Canada (SC) will once again present its popular NDC Driver Showcase, which debuted in 2024, giving fans an opportunity to meet the country's top drivers before they compete for the national title.
The Driver Showcase will take place on Saturday, July 25, beginning at 6:30 p.m. (EDT), and will be broadcast live from Cowbell Brewing Co. in Blyth, Ont. The sold-out event will be hosted by Greg Blanchard and the evening will feature interviews with each of the 2026 NDC competitors, along with appearances by event organizers, local track personnel, Legends Day participants and political representatives.
Located in the heart of Huron County, Cowbell Brewing Co. is one of Ontario's premier destination breweries, featuring a state-of-the-art brewhouse, restaurant and expansive event space overlooking 120 acres of picturesque countryside. The venue provides a unique backdrop for the opening festivities of National Driving Championship Weekend.
The Driver Showcase will feature the following 2026 NDC competitors:
- Tyler Borth
- Nick Boyd
- Stéphane Brosseau
- Marc Campbell
- Phil Giesbrecht
- Kelly Hoerdt
- Jody Jamieson
- Keith Legge
The showcase gives fans a chance to hear from each competitor before they take to the track in Sunday's championship.
The live broadcast will be available on the SC website at standardbredcanada.ca, giving fans an opportunity to get to know the competitors and hear their thoughts heading into the championship.
The 2026 National Driving Championship takes place on Sunday, July 26 at Clinton Raceway. The day will also celebrate Legends Day and the 50th anniversary of the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame. Drivers will compete for the national title and the opportunity to represent Canada at the 2027 World Driving Championship.
