The Track On 2 will kick off its Summer Meet this weekend with a seven-race afternoon card at the one-mile Lacombe, Alta. oval on Sunday, July 19.

Live racing will take place on Sunday afternoons throughout the meet, with additional race dates scheduled during the last two weeks in September, including Saturday, Sept. 5, Monday, Sept. 7, Saturday, Sept. 12 and the meet finale on Wednesday, Sept. 16. Post time is 1:10 p.m. (MDT) for all race days except the Saturday cards will have a 4:10 p.m. (MDT) post time.

Mike Hennessy and Rebecca Kanak will look for more success at The Track On 2 after taking the driving and training titles at the track's inaugural Spring Meet earlier this year. 

Hennessy is listed on a pair of Kanak's opening day entries but will drive trainer Michelle Danroth's The Great Shark — a multiple stakes winner and the freshman track record holder in search of his first sophomore victory — in the featured $5,500 conditioned pace in race three. In the day's top class, Kanak will send out four-year-old Carving Credit, who won back-to-back starts at The Track On 2 last September and has hit the board consistently in the Century Downs claiming ranks this year, with Drew Campbell in the bike.
