MSOA Announces Scholarship Recipients

The Meadows Standardbred Owners Association (MSOA) announced on Tuesday, July 14 the recipients of its 2026 Scholarship Program, awarding more than $70,000 USD in scholarships to students pursuing higher education while recognizing their dedication to the harness racing industry and their academic achievements.

The annual scholarship program is made possible through the generous support of industry leaders, stables, businesses and individuals who are committed to investing in the future of Standardbred racing.

The 2026 scholarships and recipients are listed below (all awards are in USD).

  • $10,000 Bob Key Memorial Scholarship – Ryan Keith
  • $10,000 Bob Key Memorial Scholarship – Owen McMullen
  • $10,000 Bob Key Memorial Scholarship – Lexi Twaddle
  • $7,400 Greenshoe Hanover Shoe Farms Scholarship – Avery O'Sullivan
  • $5,000 MSOA Scholarship – Parker Twaddle
  • $5,000 Burke Racing Scholarship – Alana Palone
  • $5,000 Burke Racing Scholarship – Ambre Zendt
  • $5,000 In Memory of Mickey Burke Scholarship – Andrew Collins
  • $5,000 Ron & Diane Burke Scholarship – Lexi Twaddle
  • $3,800 Winbak Farm (Heston Blue Chip) Scholarship – Gracie Sokol
  • $2,500 Amulet Rehabilitation and Conditioning Scholarship – Parker Twaddle
  • $1,000 Hollywood Casino at The Meadows Scholarship – Kyra Suleski
  • $1,000 Ron & Diane Burke Scholarship – Athena Sutton

"The MSOA is honoured to help these outstanding students pursue their educational goals," said Dawnelle Johnston, Executive Director of the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association. "These scholarships are possible because of the incredible generosity of our sponsors, whose continued investment helps strengthen the future of harness racing.
